Business Development / Outside Sales

Compass Furnished Apartments is seeking an experienced and like minded business development/outside salesperson to call on, meet with and introduce our services to corporate clients who may require our temporary housing services in the Northeast.  The ideal candidate has a proven ability to generate new business through small, medium and Fortune 500 companies who need short term housing for their executives or consultants. Candidates will be responsible for selling our services specifically to the corporate community, mainly human resources, training and travel departments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and cold calling prospective clients from a variety of sources
  • Identifying corporate decision makers, verbally introducing our services over the phone
  • Setting up and traveling to face to face meetings
  • Designing and sending electronic marketing information
  • Attending business networks and conferences
  • Working with inside sales team to maximize business from existing clients.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have at least 3-5 year of outside sales experience and industry knowledge is a major benefit.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication and computer skills including working knowledge Microsoft Office.
  • Chosen candidate will work out of our Stamford, CT or Boston, MA office, must have a vehicle and be willing to travel from Boston to New York City.
