Eric Fleming, President

Eric Fleming started Compass Furnished Apartment in 2006 to try and bring a better and more conscious company to the table for his clients. Now, Compass is one of the fastest growing corporate housing companies in the Northeast, servicing the greater New England and the New York metro areas. Eric attended college in the Green Mountains of Vermont and it was here that the ground work of green philosophy began. This philosophy has always governed his life at home with his wife and three children but in 2006 with the creation of Compass Furnished Apartments, Eric seized the opportunity to do more. He saw the need for a company that would provide customers the luxury they expect while promoting green living. From recycled paper products to compact fluorescent lighting and Green E-Certificates, Compass Furnished Apartments wants to lead by example and Eric hopes his company practices will make a long term impact from a short term stay.

Chris Fleming, CEO

As the CEO of Compass Furnished Apartments, Chris provides guidance for Compass’ strategic direction and supports the members of the senior management team in policy implementation, recruiting and business development. Within the organization, Chris promotes a company culture of providing all Compass personnel with opportunities for health and wellness, sustainable living, education, and advancement, which translates to delivering superior products and services. His goal is to ensure employee retention and further the company philosophy of “Exceeding Clients Expectations.” Chris has been an active member of the CHPA (Corporate Housing Provider’s Association) and the ERC (Employee Relocation Council) since 1998. Under his guidance, Compass has been continuously recognized as a leader in the industry and was most recently awarded the 2009 CHPA Green Company of the Year Award and the 2009 Cartus Commitment to Excellence Platinum Award. Chris currently lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife and three children.

Chris Brooks, Vice President of Business Development

As Vice President, Chris is deeply involved in many facets of the company but primarily focuses on leading the inside sales team, business development of new revenue channels, client retention and guiding marketing strategies while also being heavily involved in day to day operations. Chris’s core goal has always been doing what is right by his partners, clients, and co-workers by providing them with honesty and transparency in all transactions. Using this model has led to much success as Compass has become known as a top level provider known for its quality, attention to client needs and the willingness to go the extra mile to ensure expectations are exceeded. Prior to joining Compass in 2007 Chris worked as a Project Manager and Supervisor for a commercial construction firm, decorative stone mason on Cape Cod, and ski bum in the mountains of Colorado. He currently resides in Hopkinton, Ma and enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, drinking good beer, hiking and being on the water.

Oscar Morales, Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations for Compass Furnished Apartments, Oscar oversees the management of all Compass regions to ensure guest satisfaction, operational effectiveness and efficiency, sales and revenue generation and financial performance. Oscar develops and maintains relationships with key customers through personal involvement in the operations process with the primary goal of preserving and enhancing the value of our clients experience. His business management and strategic planning abilities contribute to the efficient and effective operations of each region. Prior to joining Compass in 2007, Oscar was employed by AvalonBay Communities as a Senior Property Manager where he managed the Stamford, CT market consisting of over 1150 luxury rental apartments. Oscar has over 15 years of operations and property management industry experience and currently resides in Mount Vernon, NY.

Tricia Hawes, Customer Service Manager

As Customer Service Manager, Tricia is responsible for ensuring the Compass Experience exceeds the expectations of each and every one of our clients and guests. Tricia is also responsible for coordinating day to day operations with our housekeeping, quality control staff and vendors, making sure all operations run seamlessly. She organizes move ins and move outs, setups and breakdowns, issue resolution and all customer service related situations. Tricia has been with Compass since it opened its Quincy, MA office in 2008. Prior to joining Compass, Tricia worked with Compass’s sister company RECE Real Estate Services. When not at work Tricia enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Tricia has also been known to many as the “jam lady” for making the most delicious jam in the North East!

Shannon Czaplicki, Sales Associate

Shannon graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Finance in May 2009. She joined the Compass team in Stamford, CT in the summer of 2009 as an inside sales representative and administrative assistant.  In the fall of 2009, Shannon moved North and now works in our Boston, MA office to further concentrate on her specialty in inside sales. In her short time with Compass, Shannon has quickly become a key leader in driving inside sales and is solely responsible for some of our largest and most important clients. In addition to her dedication at Compass, Shannon currently attends Suffolk University’s MBA program with a concentration in Marketing. In her free time, Shannon enjoys staying active through yoga and running. This past fall she participated in Hartford, CT’s Half Marathon race in support of Camp Rising Sun, a camp for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Amber DelPrete, Public Relations Manager

Amber graduated from Fairfield University with a major in Information Systems and Finance. Upon graduation, she embarked on a year- long volunteer service experience with Passionist Volunteers International in Kingston, Jamaica, where she established an elementary school library for a local village school through working with the local government, and NGOs. Once back in the US, Amber worked at UBS Investment Bank as a Trade Support Analyst on the Equity Swaps Desk. Intrigued by the prospect of working for a thoroughly value-driven organization, Amber joined Compass in August of 2010 in a public relations capacity. During her time with Compass, she has succeeded in developing a Social Media Marketing Program and authoring the website blog.   She has also been instrumental in enhancing our current Corporate Consciousness Program to consist of a Donation Program and furthering our Community Outreach and Green Initiatives. With issues of poverty and justice deeply rooted in her being, Amber has found time to further her volunteering by spending time in both Honduras and Senegal, Africa.

Ann Loftus, Accounts Payable

Ann comes to Compass with experience in the art auction industry, retail furniture industry and various non-profit works. With Compass since 2008, Ann has grown with the company since its early days. She is responsible for accounts payable and setups for utility and cable accounts. Ann has been instrumental in our energy conservation initiatives at Compass, a core element in our sustainability mission. While raising her children as a stay at home mom, Ann actively became involved in volunteer work at her children’s school, through her church and with Hospice Atlantic Health Care in NJ. Now living in MA, Ann continues her hospice work there. Ann enjoys spending her free time boating and sailing with her husband and family, especially the three grandchildren.

Tim DeBowes, Sales Associate

Tim graduated from Curry College in Milton, MA, with a major in Politics and History. That summer he attended the Real Estate School of New England and received his Real Estate License. In 2010 he joined Prudential Connecticut Realty specializing in Residential Real Estate in the New Haven area. Tim joins Compass with experience in rentals and residential home sales. Currently, Tim is working with the Inside Sales Associates to identify and pinpoint longterm and short term needs for clients. While Tim was with Prudential he and his fellow co-workers hosted fundraisers for the Sunshine Kids, which is dedicated to providing activities, trips, and events for young cancer patients.
